Hujakate has realised the dream of all golfers by nailing a hole-in-one at Whittlesea. Dunnngo reports….
It’s official… Tony has holed out in one on the 8th hole at Whittlesea. He selected a 9 iron and struck the ball beautifully, the flight was high and straight, it landed on the green directly in line with the pin, and although we could not see the result I made the call “that could hole out”. I then proceeded to shank a ball long right and we ventured to find it in the bush, spending 10 minutes during which Tony picked up 8 balls and 3 myself before declaring my ball lost, at which point Tony pointed out his ball was not visible on the green. “Holy” I shouted and Tony got a bit of speed up as he strutted the green to look in the hole…. I saw the smile on his face & we started a celebration dance!
What a wonderful world!
The heartiest of COD Sport congratulations go to Huja on this wonderful achievement. Of course, the moment was celebrated in true Hujakate fashion with dark beer and a Seniors meal dessert that would have tasted just that bit sweeter.
